The Office of International Affairs, Sponsored by Jeonju University Credit Union, Hosts Winter Blanket Sharing Event

Jeonju University (President Jinbae Park) announced that on the 29th, the Office of International Affairs held a Winter Blanket Sharing Event for international students.

This event, part of the "2024 Credit Union Sharing Campaign" by the Credit Union Social Responsibility Foundation, provided warm winter blankets to 23 Southeast Asian international students enrolled at Jeonju University. This donation is part of a valuable act of giving that has continued over the past five years, providing great support to international students.

Taejin Song, Director of Jeonju University's Credit Union, commented, "Helping international students spend a warm winter in Korea strengthens our sense of community. It is very rewarding to be able to offer practical support to international students each year through this opportunity. I sincerely hope they can gain valuable experiences in Korea and grow as global talents."

Furthermore, Pyay Phyo Zaw, a student from Myanmar in the undergraduate program, shared, "I miss my hometown these days, so receiving such a warm blanket is truly touching. I deeply appreciate everyone who offered their support, and I will do my best in my studies, keeping this kindness in mind."

Meanwhile, Jeonju University's Office of International Affairs offers various programs to support international students in having a successful university experience. These include Korean language support, cultural experience programs, and a mentoring system, providing ongoing assistance to help students adjust well to Korean society.
