Curriculum
All MSc degree candidates on a thesis track must complete a minimum of 24 credit hours of graduate coursework. For a non-thesis track, degree candidates are required to complete additional 6 credit hours of graduate coursework which will be offered in the seasonal semesters (summer or winter sessions).

Research Methods and Applications in the Hospitality Industry Ⅰ | This course covers various research methodologies involving critical analysis of different approaches to inquiry which allows students to determine methodologies that are appropriate for their areas of research interests in the hospitality industry. It also familiarizes students with research design and implementation, equipping them to develop research proposals. |
IEntrepreneurial Leadership in the Hospitality Industry | This course introduces students with the unique approaches, different business models, and innovative delivery techniques associated with entrepreneurial projects in the hospitality industries. The course will enable students to comprehend the key conceptual and analytical elements in initiating start-ups aimed towards creating innovative guest experiences, service processes and platforms. |
Research Methods and Applications in the Hospitality Industry Ⅱ | As a means of writing a thesis, this course focuses on the concept of the most frequently used statistics applications (SPSS, AMOS, etc.) and application to actual thesis. |
Strategic Marketing in the Hospitality Industry | This course involves the study of marketing principles and key issues which are relevant to the hospitality industry. It emphasizes the strategic marketing hospitality services both in the international and domestic settings. |
Human Resources Management in the Hospitality Industry | This course provides students an in-depth understanding of human resources management specifically in the context of the hospitality industry. Topics include principles and responsibilities of HR departments, key principles of recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel as well as the costs and legal considerations involved in HRM. |

Management of Finance & Revenue In the Hospitality Industry | This course encompasses firstly, an introduction to financial management concepts, principles and models applicable to hospitality industries. It will also cover the specific features of financing associated with hospitality management as well as other critical financial aspects involving hospitality industries. Secondly, this course also provides an understanding on the concepts and applicable tools of revenue management for the hospitality industry. The conceptual as well as the practical applications of the various techniques of revenue management in the hospitality will be covered in this subject. Also a comprehensive understanding on the revenue management systems in terms of their usage and challenges in the hospitality industry will be provided in this course. |
Seminar for Case study of Hotel Service | It is a seminar-type class that collects actual hotel service cases, identifies pros and cons based on customers' reaction, and considers future improvements. Global Dynamics of Tourism and Sustainable Development | This course is updated yearly according to the current issues in tourism. It presents the New trends in the tourism industry, from which the climate change and the bidirectional impacts, sustainability, business environment in international level and tourism foreign investments. Furthermore, a part of the course will be on destination competitiveness, and the several scenarios of destination development. |
Hotel Brand Management | Understanding of the basic theory and concept of the brand. Topics include the importance and usability of the brand, the benefits and the value of the brand that can be given to the company, and implementation of the brand strategy. |
Hotel Service Management Assessment | This course is designed to enhance students’ insights to evaluate the service management of the hotel. Topics include examination of the leadership of hotel companies, customer-first policies, service standards, human resource utilization, management performance, and tools and conducts workshops for external consulting. |
